A Peek of our 4th!

I’m just sharing one for now. I have lots of pics from the whole day. Jeramy and I just wanted a very low key day, but if you ask Maggie she threw a great big party! More on that later…

Hope you all had a safe and happy 4th!

Here is one of my favorite images from last night… Staring Miss Elizabeth!

How fun is that! Those were a great idea, they had so much fun. Great shot

Summer Shot List

Alright. I’m committing! I’m going to participate in Let the Kids Dress Themselves Summer Shot List.

Letthekids

Admittedly, I am so bad at these! But, I’m going to get this one done! Maybe Jeramy and I can tackle this list together! That would be fun! Here are a few of mine already…

At The Beach

Does a dirty bellybutton represent "Camping"?

It’s a start!

Hot Springs Creek

The kids loved the creek! The first year my big kids wouldn’t go pas their knees and this year they were splishing, splashing and swimming around! And Grace… Man she puts salmon to shame the way she can swim up stream! πŸ˜‰

And Jane… she was thrilled she could hold her breath underwater. And just to let you know… the water was super cold!

The first time I took Jillian to the creek it was just me and the little girls. I wasn’t sure Jillian was going to get in. You never know with that kid! I just kept him in her shorts and shirt, and of course she wanted to get more then her feet wet. So, when you are nearly two you do what any proud toddler would do… you get necked and throw rocks!

One day we took the kids for a walk to a spot in the creek where the shallow area was a bit wider so the little girls had more room to play. Jillian fell asleep on the way and the bigger kids got really muddy. I’m sure in Napa the mud baths cost way more then free. πŸ˜‰

I love this creek! It looks like a fairy creek! So much gold (okay… iron pyrite) the bottom is always so sparkly! One of these trips we WILL find some gold!

Jeramy took these next few images…

SO SPARKLY!

Back over by camp the girls had one last swim before we left.

I won’t even get into the mosquito bites! Or the lame park ranger we had to deal with our first day… we want Monika to forget about him so she’ll go back next year. πŸ˜‰

Monika

LOVE!!! And gosh, the b&w of Grace is amazing!! Man, I’m missing you guys already and I haven’t even left for Switzerland…

boy, i’m good….right? i’m an amateur.

Jeramy took that one!!! And we are totally missing you guys already too. Brady thought you guys had left already… he was sad.

Camping Part II… The Hammock.

Yes. The hammock deserves its own post.

I’ve never really been a fan of the hammock. Any hammock for that matter. How do you get in and out of them with grace and dignity? I’m so fearful of falling on my face every time I try to get in and out of one. Not Jeramy… He gets in and falls right to sleep.

All the girls love the hammock! Every year Monika and I have to get hammock pictures! Where to put the hammock is always the number one question when we first arrive! Brian taught the girls about force vector physics stuff… They really just wanted to swing fast! πŸ˜‰

But this year… I decided to give the hammock and try. I thought it out, and decided if I could get in it right… I might be able to hide and get a break from kids! Soooo,Β when no one was looking… I not so gracefully got in!

Here are some images of my vantage point…

Oh boy… I’ve been found!

And sweet talked.

I called Monika over… my little spy was out in no time flat!

Next installment of the riveting camping series is going to be about… The creek! And there was some skinny dipping! πŸ˜‰

you’ve got the BEST ankles! πŸ™‚

SKINNING DIPPING!!!! how did i miss that?
