Aren’t they just the sweetest family? This was a very last minute session. And can you believe the sun? It was raining cats and DAWGS that morning!
We didn’t have much time so I ran them around the marina quickly with me snapping here and there! I lamented about the empty field I loved that was turned into a parking lot…
((((SIGH))))
I’m so sad. It was full of weeds and next to a brick wall… Just the place I like to take pictures. I’m odd. I know.
Anyhow, I love and adore this family! I am really blessed to have them in my life. “Mr. B.” has quite an impact on my Jane. Not only does she come home from church raving about “Mr. B’s” snack, but she can also tell me what he taught her! π
And 1 and 2nd graders are Β not the easiest group to teach!
These boys are awesome brothers and their mother is one of my favorite people! She wow’s me every chance I get to talk to her.
I could go on and on…
Just check them out yourselves!
These two are so completely in love…
I love love…
Can you even take in all this sweetness?
I KNOW!!!!!
Oh! That face! I could eat her!!!
Who has her big brothers wrapped around her finger? This cutie!
She has her daddy wrapped around her finger too! Heck! Who am I kidding? She has me wrapped around my finger!
Yesterday morning was crazy foggy! You could see the sun trying to burn the fog away, which made for such pretty light. And for some reason there seemed to be spiders EVERYWHERE! Jane and I saw a couple of HUGE Orb Weavers! No joke! They were monstrous! Their webs were so stunning, she ended up late for school because we were marveling over the huge dew covered webs.
I decided to take the kids I had with me for a walk. To look at the different webs and get out in this magical light.
So amazing!! I don’t like spiders whatsoever, but you got great photos of their webs!!! It’s like they really were decorating! And the rain drops? Stunning!!
Nicky Picky Pooh Pooh
WOW! Who knew spider webs could be so pretty! Great shots!
Jeramy had the day off yesterday and that usually means we are cleaning or doing nothing all day. I didn’t want to waste the day… Shopping was out of the picture, so what were we to do? I’m always down for a photo shoot, but I don’t always have willing subjects. π I try to mask it as, “Let’s go for a walk!” And all I get is the backs of my family. π I suggested we do something creative and Jeramy immediately suggested we write a Christmas song. The kids were IN! Whoo hoo!
Please don’t think it was like the Partridge Family or Brady Bunch. It was not. π
We sat down at the table brainstorming ideas while Jeramy gathered his guitar and recording equipment. During that time we laughed and learned good lessons about teasing and rolling eyes, forgiveness and moving on… good stuff. I learned that we need to do projects like this more often. Wanna know how I came to that conclusion? Working together was pretty rough. π I was having a hard time to not knocking their heads together and they had a hard time not rolling their eyes. I’m a firm believer that when something is challenging, you need to practice it. π
I finally got out coloring books and hot coco. That was when it got better! π
We wrote down what we all love about Christmas and what we think of when we think of Christmas at the Sossamans. Just a bit of what we wrote down:
Love
Church
Getting the Christmas tree
Cookies parties
Mistletoe
Christmas songs
Chocolate advent calendars
Momma using real ribbon like Nanna
Christmas lights
Decorating the house
Eggnog Latte’s
Friends
Christmas Barbies
Hot coco in our Christmas mugs
Boat Parade
Christmas books
Food
and
Larry’s Christmas Count down
As well as recallingΒ lots of fun Christmas memories… Its fun to hear what the kids remember. I often wonder what the kids actually remember vs. what they just recall from looking at pictures from past Christmases. Hummm…
Anyhow! Hope you enjoyed our song. Maybe take the time this year to write a poem together? Make something? Get creative this year! Do you have a thing you all do as a family? I want to hear what you do!
These two girls are absolute dolls! Their parents aren’t so bad themselves except they wouldn’t get into any pictures! And Mary Rose kept reminding me while I was editing these images, that their Dad is a Dodger fan. I’m sure thats why the scheduled the shoot during the World Series! I was so worried I wasn’t going to be in the right space to do a session! My Giants were about to play what could be the last game of the World Series! But, look at these two! They are the sweetest girls with the most adorable personalities! The whole time I kept thinking about how I wished I had pictures like these with my baby sister.
Sparkly, fun loving, sweet, sassy, expressive and charming are just a few words that describe these two!
Those freckles! Isn’t she so wonderful? I used to take care of her in the nursery at church, or rather I’d watch her as she took care of all the babies. π She’s love on them like it or not!
Is your heart all melty right now??
I can’t hardly take it! Little Miss M has the most bestest most expressive little face! I could just squeeze her!!!
No joke… These images had me giggling all day! Crystal and Alberto I hope these images bring big smiles to your faces!
