Suisun City Family Session

I want to start out by saying…

One thing I realized, is that I might not express how much I love working with families and planning sessions. If you have ideas… I want to hear them! Jeramy and I always ask our clients “where do you want to have the session?” and  secretly, I’m wishing that they say their house. It is a dream of mine to capture a “day in the life of…” sessions. I love LOVE going to peoples homes and places that have meaning them. Like HERE  and HERE to point out a couple. I also love when clients/friends share ideas! Like in this session. My heart skipped a beat when I saw the three them! And then when mom shared that she had ideas and brought props… Oh my goodness! I could have kissed her! I want to hear your ideas! I really want to capture your stories and your life! I want to work WITH you to make your sessions as unique and special as you are. I am a talker! Talk to me about where you want your session, what you want to wear, what you want your pictures to say about you as a family! I even want to know what you are going to do with these images and help you get them up on your walls! I’ll even come help you hang them! If you send me a picture of the wall where you want to hang the images, I’ll help you with pick the best grouping! I can do that you know!

On to this session… I couldn’t even pick favorites. I just couldn’t. I knocked this session out of the park like Brandon Belt. 😉 Okay… really, they made my job easy. Not only are they stunning, but they are just the sweetest people.

I love my job.

This is the BEST! And mommy and daddy are looking so silly back there spinning around! Photo shoots are AWE-SOME! (That’s what she’s saying with her smile. I’m good at reading baby smiles) 😉

I do love this session. I love it for the sweet family I got to capture and I love it because it was a joint effort. When I look at these images I see a loving, sweet tender and creative family. I sure hope these are pictures you’ll cherish for a very long time. XOXOX Sharon

Puddles ~ A Homegrown Newborn Session

I have no excuses. I am an awful blogger. Feel like giving me grace? Pretty please. I don’t pick on anyone for blinking… Thats a lie. I do. 😉

Lets move on.

Meet Puddles! He looks a lot like THIS guy, doesn’t he? Well, this is Baby J’s baby brother… Baby J. They are all J’s. so, it’s not confusing, and because it TOTALLY fits…

This is Puddles.

Homegrown Pups

I can’t tell you how much fun this session was. We just went on a walk with the dogs and (for me at least) it was a nice relaxing stroll. I love seeing the different ways families relate and finding the different bonds and special quirks families have and you know… It’s the same with our four legged babies.  And the “outtakes” from this session are hysterical!

I should do a “outtake” post every so often! Of course not any of the ones where moms are giving THE look at dad or any of dad showing how he’s REALLY feeling about the two hour long session!

I’m kidding! I never get those! 😉 I do however will post sassy teen pics. You can tell them that too! 😉

My first thought was, “All the better to eat you with my dear.”

20140126_IMG_6708

Then I felt bad. Its more like “All the better to kiss you with my dear!”

20140126_IMG_6716

“I like to give kiss too!” she says!!

20140126_IMG_6722

Best friends.

That face! Those ears! The smile! Isn’t she a doll?

Please know I love animals and I’m all about involving your whole family! Unless it’s a spider. I don’t do spiders.

Party of Four… and a Dog?

I can’t believe I have shoots I haven’t blogged.  I even have an elusive wedding to blog. I keep crying every time I try. I also don’t want people to think I do weddings… I don’t. OH THE STRESS!

Anyhow! I’ve known this sweet family for a long time now. I’ve seen these kids grow from being shorter then me, to taller then me. Not that being taller then me is THAT big of a feat… I digress. I do however love these people and all of the quirky fun they bring to my life.

They are-for the most part-an active family who like to hike and explore so going to Rockville park sounded like a great idea!

Key word… SOUNDED.

“It’s not far! Just one more hill!”

They can’t count.

AND as we are walking they are shedding scarfs and sweaters and I end up wearing them! It was rough. 😉

Celeste may be the only normal one of the group.

Again… Don’t ask. 😉

Bye Bye Five.

Lets pretend I’m a good blogger and I’m not months and months behind. 😉

Maggie asked if I’d take pictures of her on her last day of being 5. I sighed deep and said, “I will if you want.”

That was a lie.

I tried to act all cool and said, “Hummm sure. Let’s go now.”

Gotta strike while the irons hot!

Maggie did have some demands. I had to get her ridding her scooter and we needed to be by a certain rose bush. Easy peasy lemon squeezie! As Maggie would say.

Even if the rose bush was completely bare…

Maggie’s last day of being five.

Remember when I was so devastated about her tooth having to be pulled… The other tooth fell out early, like the dentist said it would and I don’t want either to grow back.
