It happened….

She busted her tooth again… My little Maggie! She is forever busting her lip or a tooth. This time she did such a good job that they are removing it. 🙁 I’m so sad about it. Maggie is hurting, but staying pretty brave about the whole thing.

That kid is always busting her mouth.

Saturday night we heard screams… Maggie was hurt. As soon as I heard the screams through the open window… I knew this was not going to be good.

And as soon as I wiped the blood from her mouth… my heart stopped, tears burned my eyes and I knew. (Don’t worry! I didn’t cry till she went to bed that night.)

Jeramy called the dentist, and bless her heart! She came in to the office on a Sunday just to see Maggie. Maggie thought it was pretty cool!

Being that it’s a baby tooth we decided to just have it removed.

My baby is going to have a missing front tooth for quite a long time! All my girls got their teeth kinda late… Maybe they’ll let me keep the X-ray. The roots of that baby tooth are VERY long!

I am so thankful she let me take a few pictures before tomorrow. Really, I know its just a baby tooth, but she is going to look different. Of course she’ll be just as adorable, but she’ll look different. I can’t explain it… I’m just sad about it right now. If she was seven and the tooth was supposed to be out thats one thing, but she is only four. Jane is 7 and still has her top baby teeth. 🙁 I’m just sad.

Maggie is actually kinda excited to have the tooth out! 🙂 Ever since Jane lost her first tooth this spring Maggie has been waiting for a wiggly tooth!

I’m praying it all goes well tomorrow and that the procedure goes smoothly and she is still excited about it. Your prayers would be appreciated too!

I asked her how old she was… she’s not 5. Hence the laughter in the very next shot. Goof!

These pictures were to show her smile before the tooth was gone… You’ll see the fracture better in the last image.

I told her to NOT smile! 😉 That lasted a second!

You can kinda see the fracture here. It slices the tooth in half straight across. Maybe the oral surgeon will have some sort of magic fix and she’ll get to keep the tooth!? I doubt it, but a mom can hope!

Maybe they can stabilize it until it falls out. Fingers crossed. Love that goofy grape.
