Camping!

A couple of weeks ago we went camping with “auntcy” -thats Aunt and Nancy put together. We went to a great place called Steep Ravine. I’ll have to  let Jeramy tell you how hard it is to book a spot. It’s rough. You have to book like 6 months in advance or if you are adventurous enough you can go to the Pan Toll Ranger Station after 2pm and see if there were any cancellations. But, you’ll need to have all your stuff ready!

All of us had a great time and I have to say, camping in a cabin… MUCH BETTER THEN A TENT! Each cabin has a set of bunks and two large platforms for beds. And a smaller platform in the “living area” Thats where Nancy always slept when she went. It’s right by the fire and cozy. In each cabin is a wood burning stove, a picnic type table and a counter top area. NO heater! No electricity, and no WiFi.  The restrooms were in a separate building just up the hill. Not too far. Well… unless you have to go in the middle of the night. Or, you wait too long and tell the adult you are with you have to go RIGHT after they just got back to the cabin… then it seemed like a HIKE! 😉

I brought books and magazines and knitting. Not sure what I was thinking. 😉

The kids had a blast! The little ones were had lots to do just walking up and down and all around. They looked for lizards and watched for whales and dolphins and the big kids just had fun hanging in the cabins chilling and not having the little kids bugging them to play!

We took walks and drove to Stintson Beach a few times. Jillian had SO much fun in the sand and what a way to work on her balance! I’m so thankful the sand doesn’t bother her. She loved it! She walked and stopped and squatted. Totally the type of workout she needs! Maybe we should more there! 😉

Really, this was my kind of camping. A store, restaurants, latte’s and a beach right around the corner! Perfect!

I had so much fun with you guys! And the food was great, thanks Jeramy!
It was nice to see the kids enjoy it each in their own way! Loved having a few days to spend with my favorite family! Love you! Sitting on Stinson will alwys
Remind us of our beautiful trip. Did I mention the stars!!!!! So many! Good part of waiting for the bathroom, time to stare at the stars . So lucky to have you all in my life. Again, I love you.

Just a peek! (((Armijo Class of 2012)))

Oh boy did we have fun! Danielle even turned the camera on me! 😉 I had so much fun with this session! What made it so much fun was that Danielle and I worked together to make these images, and this session HER! She had ideas… I had ideas and we had so much fun trying them all!

Here is just a tiny peek…

Your photos are SO full of life! This is making me kind of bummed that we’re leaving Hannah with my parents when we come to SF this summer; would have loved to get some Homegrown photos. Ah, well, another trip!

I’m not going to meet Hannah!! You’ll just have to bring her next time! But, mommys and daddy’s need photos together too… Proof that you two still got it!! 😉 capturing your romantic trip would be so… Romantic!!!!

(((SIGH)))

I have so much to blog! I have plans! I had it all worked out and then…

This…

And she was PLAYIN’

I’m not sure how someone can be so little and SO BIG all at the same time!

I couldn’t help blogging these images. I love them! Maybe they aren’t technically the best… so you can see the dumping ground that the piano has turned into… But, I see past all that. I see this smile and this tiny little person, and I remember not knowing if I’d have to let her go with her sister… This sweet girl is a fighter and she is going to do BIG things. She amazes us every day.

And just a peek at what I still have to blog about…

Brady’s 13th Birthday. We got to go to Skywalker Ranch! Check out his BLOG for his post on that! I love that kid!

Our March of Dimes walk. Wait till you hear about how much our team raised!
Mary Rose’s play, Willy Wonka Jr. She was SO wonderful!
Our camping trip! OH! The images and memories I have! We had such a super time!
LOOK! The starfish are holding hands!!!
Show me your mussels! 😉

And Brady’s school award. I’m so proud of these nerdy home schooled kids! And after this ceremony and some of the speeches… I’ll never be able to get him dressed in the mornings!  MAN! He was right! He is the only home schooled kid that has to get dressed everyday! 😉 I felt his eyes boring into me as his advisor was speaking on myths regarding homeschoolers… I guess that one is true.

I absolutely love that my daugher-n-law is a photographer. I love that she shares her work on facebook and have a blog. I feel connected to my dear family even though I do not see them near as much as I would like. Thank you and love you.

I can’t believe you called me out on my dog obsession… in public too!!! 😉

Man! Something happened The link didn’t work! I’ll have to go back and fix that! 😉

do you have a husband? i don’t see any pictures of him??? or were all these kids like immaculately conceived?

Don’t worry, Monica! Every other photo of mine is of my dog. I even go so far as to use dog hash tags and have friends because of how cute their Yorkies are.

On to messy signs!

We teach our kids ASL starting pretty early. A few of them caught on more then others, but its been so wonderful for us. I totally recommend it to anyone! Have any questions? Just ask away! Our kids really love Signing Time!

Here is Jillian showing some of her favorite signs! I find that if you start teaching signs around the time they start table foods, it seems to click better for them. Some of Jillian’s first signs were…

Jillian is 21 months (she was a preemie so shes really more like 18 months) and she has about 15+ signs. No! Stop! And eat. Seem to be her favorites this week! 😉

I asked her to look at her hands…

And she signed…

i can not stand what a mess she is. SO HILARIOUS! and signing IS amazing! i’m glad you taught our kids. 🙂

I enjoyed sign language too! It was so awesome to have one more way to communicate with my darling HRG. Jillian, ugh! She slays me with her adorableness. Love the ‘dirty’! 😀
